We have decided to start giving monthly updates for those who have been praying for us and who want to stay connected. This month is a little late, but we hope you are encouraged and it finds you well.
- OUR TRIP TO NASHVILLE
- PRAYER/PRAISE REQUEST
Our trip to Nashville, TN
On the 24th of June Chris and I went with my parents to Nashville, TN to show them some of the lakes and marina’s where they can go fishing and camping when they have time off and when he retires. We had a blast checking out Murfreesboro, some places we checked out when we were dating, and stumbling upon a small town near Hermitage. We had a real blast, and were able to go to dinner with our friends who live near the airport, but were sad we had to leave so early. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
Prayer Requests & Praise Reports
- Angie got a car!
Chris and I were able to get a car for myself recently, and not only that, but we were able to pay cash for it! We both knew that after we got married i was going to need my own set of wheels eventually. Not only were we able to pay cash for this car, but the only thing it needs is new tires, it needs an alignment done, needs a new paint job, and the left tail light needs a new plate on it. In retrospect this is really not a big deal in light of the fact that it is a 1996. This is a huge answer to prayer, and we thank all of you for keeping us in prayer over this.
- Chris’ job
- Yard Sale
- Opportunities to serve
Right now there are some projects going on and I am expected to complete them, however I am waiting on other departments to do their job so i may complete mine. Basically, I am getting really stressed out with the different tasks going on, and it feels like I can’t get work out of my head. If you could pray that God would help me to turn off work when I am home, and the stress level would go down. I have even contemplated finding another job in computer programming, if it means less stress and more time with Angie and doing the things God has called me to I am open to it.
Chris and I will be having a yard sale the two weeks after the 4th of July. We are wanting to downsize as well as use the money from this to pay off some debt. We also think this will be a good opportunity to get to know the neighbors and be a witness in our community. Would you please pray that we have awesome weather for both weekends, that we will be able to sale everything and have money to pay down quite a bit on our debt, as well as have the opportunity to minister to our neighbors? Thanks, and if you are free those weekends come on out to visit.
Opportunities to serve:
Right now God has given us the opportunity to serve in our current church with the adults ministry for people 18 on up called, “College & Career.” We are helping the couple who is over it while they are getting everything together for their wedding in three weeks. We are praying that God will bring more people from our area to the ministry and it would be a good mix of ages, race, and those who range from baby christians to those who have been walking the faith journey a long time. We are really excited about this ministry and look forward to God using us.
Chris and I would like to personally thank all of you who are praying for us. We believe God is leading us into a new chapter as a couple and individually. Once we feel led to share we will, but if you would pray God gives us wisdom in what He is speaking to us, as well as obedience in only taking a step in the direction where he is leading us we would really appreciate it. Thank you for taking this journey with us.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8 New Living Translation (NLT)
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” – Isaiah 61:1 Modern English Version (MEV)
