Hello family, friends, and fellow bloggers! Angie here and I wanted to give a quick update for the month of January. I hope you are all doing well thus far into the new year, know that just as we accept all of your prayers and support we are thinking and praying for each of you. I know things have been a little nuts lately, but God is still on the move and behind the scenes answering prayers and bringing breakthrough. I can’t wait to share all the good news, so let’s dive right in!
Boy, I don’t know about you but Christmas seemed to come and go exceedingly fast last year! I am both in awe and excited that 2021 is finally here. Yes there were a few bumps in the road, maybe even a pot hole or two, but overall both Chris and I feel we have grown closer as a couple and closer to God over the 10 months or so we were quarantined. One of the things Chris and I are seeking God for at the beginning of this year is for me to get another job. After the quarantine hit one thing Chris and I discussed was finding another teacher’s aid position closer to home. Not only that, but I wanted something that was full time and would provide both health insurance as well as enough money to get us out of debt and eventually go back to school to receive my degree in teaching. Since I know I want to work in education I looked at the different schools close to home and reached out to the one within my subdivision on a whim. Isn’t it funny how sometimes we do things on a whim and that is exactly where God wants us? Not to go into too many details, but after only two weeks of making phone calls, filling out paperwork, and getting the necessary items done for the job, I can happily say I was hired on. Upon writing this, I will be starting just a few short days from now. For those of you who have been praying, you know this job is like a huge Christmas present from the Lord. That was the first blessing God bestowed on us this year and it isn’t even the middle of the month. Another praise report is everyone in our family is back to one hundred percent health. And, without giving too much away, my dad’s VA stuff and all he needs for his transplants are seeing progress and about wrapped up. So thank you for your prayers regarding all of that.
Finally, I just wanted to update you about something on my heart recently. I started another blog, for women, sharing my personal life experiences through each stage the Lord carries me into. Not only will I discuss things I’m learning as an educator, but also as a wife, daughter, and hopefully someday as a mom. It will be a very raw look into my life, yet I hope that throughout the articles on there women might be encouraged to seek the God of the universe and live their life with passion and the purpose He has for them. I hope you will pray for me in this area as God has been speaking to me to step out and start getting involved with helping women more. I also hope, for all you ladies out there, that you will head over to MrsAngiesWorld to subscribe and share the site with other ladies you know. Thank you to everyone for your love and support over the years. Chris and I were just talking about how we couldn’t believe we were celebrating five whole years as a married couple and this February we will be celebrating seven years as friends. God has seen us through laughter, tears, more than a few anxiety attacks, and yet in all things we are so blessed and can’t wait to step into the new year with greater wisdom and open doors to share the gospel. Please keep praying for us as we shine the light of Jesus to our neighbors and step outside our comfort zone to share His love with those around us!
But seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.Matthew 6:33 Complete Jewish Translation
